Traditional Tribal Immune Support from West Africa
Cryptolepis sanguinolenta (Periplocaceae) is a member of the genus Cryptolepis. An extract from the root is traditionally used by West Africa indigenous inhabitants in the Akwapim and Kwahu mountainous areas in Ghana to support the body’s response to malaria and is an established antimalarial in West African ethno medicine (Boye and Ampofo, 1983).
Traditionally the plant was used not only to manage various forms of malaria but also fevers and some infections caused by bacteria.
BioPure Cryptolepis sanquinolenta extract is in 55% organic corn alcohol; offered in a 4 fl oz liquid tincture with dropper.
